  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage, organize, direct, control and coordinate the successful execution and completion of engineering and land planning projects.
    • Completion of assigned projects within established schedules, and budgets.
    • Maintain the project budget and project schedule through the design and approval process.
    • Coordination with Director of Engineering, and Principals to ensure that adequate staffing is applied to the project to meet goals.
    • Develop detailed proposals and budgets for new engineering and land planning projects.
    • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with new and existing clients, and with other consultants for teaming relationships.
    • Prepare monthly invoices to the client and manage project budgets and collections.
    • Participate and provide leadership role in the employee review process.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum of 8 years experience in land development and/or public works design with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in directing design projects.
    • B.S. in Civil Engineering and Registration is required.
    • Must have basic AutoCAD skills, familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.
    • Must be highly organized.
    • Must have exceptional communication skills.
    • Strong leadership skills are essential.
    • Must have a client service perspective.
  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Design and production of Street, Sewer, Water and Storm Drain Improvement Plans.
    • Design and production of Rough and Precise Grading Plans
    • Review and Address internal and agency comments and incorporate into project drawings.
    • Active interaction with Project Engineer, Project Manager and other members of the design team.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum 2 years experience in residential land development design.
    • Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD, proficiency in Civil 3D a plus.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and agency staff both orally and in writing.
    • Must be highly organized and motivated and able to work within a Team framework.
    • Public Works experience a plus.
    • E.I.T. Preferred but not required.
  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Lead the design and production of Street, Sewer, Water and Storm Drain Improvement Plans.
    • Lead the design and production of Rough and Precise Grading Plans.
    • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Director of Civil Engineering to manage, schedule and complete design tasks with project budgets and schedules.
    • Review and address internal agency comments and incorporate into project drawings. Provide comprehensive responses to agency comments and requests.
    • Participate in Client Meetings, Agency Meetings and Internal Team Meetings.
    • Monitor all work for compliance with relevant design standards, policies and codes.

    • Actively facilitate internal communication with the Design Team, Survey Department, and Drainage Manager and the Director of Engineering.

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum 1-year experience in residential land development design.
    • Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD, (proficiency in Civil 3D a plus), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Must be Able to Work with these Programs together.

Position Requirements:

  • K&A Engineering, Inc. (K&A) has a challenging opportunity for a skilled office survey technician/mapper with a minimum of 3 years experience in the following aspects of office survey work:
    • Experience with record map/document research within Government Agencies
    • Experience with reviewing/reading title reports
    • Experience with calculating and analyzing record maps, deeds and easements
    • Experience with creating (typically within Riverside County) final tract/parcel maps, legal descriptions and plats (easements, deeds, certificate of compliances, lot line adjustments, right of way dedications, LAFCO documents), record of surveys, land title surveys (A.L.T.A./A.C.S.M.), topographic survey mapping, and as-built exhibits utilizing AutoCAD software.
    • Experience with processing maps within Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Experience with cadastral surveys and boundary resolution

Position Requirements:

  • K&A Engineering, Inc. (K&A) has an opportunity for a skilled mapping technician with a minimum of 1 year experience, skilled in AutoCAD, proficiency in Civil 3D a plus, to provide the following tasks under the direction of a Land Surveyor:
    • Exhibits and Plats for Legal Descriptions
    • Final Tract Maps
    • Condominium Plans
    • ALTA Survey Maps
    • Completion and field survey data into exhibits for design
    • Research at Governmental Agencies

Position Requirements:

  • K&A K&A Engineering, Inc. has a challenging opportunity for a skilled survey party chief with a minimum of 3 years of experience, highly proficient in the following aspects of surveying, including but not limited to:
    • GPS Boundary and Control Network Surveys (including Aerial Control): Proficient in performing both “Static” and “RTK” GPS surveys. RTK surveys for topographic and some construction staking surveys, utilizing the following GPS equipment: Trimble 5800 and Spectra Precision Epoch 50 GPS receivers and using the Spectra Precision Ranger Data Collectors with TDS software version 5.2.1.
    • Topographic Surveys: Must be proficient in using descriptor codes and linework while performing topographic surveys. Field work will require the ability to draw details of various items including storm drain catch basins, culverts, drop inlets, sewer manholes, buildings or areas not conducive to precisely locating features with the instrument. Proficient with the following conventional equipment will be required: Spectra Focus 35 robotic total stations using the Spectra Precision Ranger Data Collectors with TDS software version 5.2.1.
    • Construction Surveys: Proficiency in all aspects of construction surveys including but not limited to the following: rough grade staking including slope stakes, both fixed locations and the ability to stake catch slopes, contour staking, drainage basins, etc. Utility staking including sewer, storm drain, water, electrical, telephone, etc. Streets including curb and gutter, pavement staking, with the ability to perform both subgrade and rock grade certifications. House layouts and large concrete tilt-up building staking, (said tilt-ups using both a chain and EDM measurements, and right angle checks).

Position Requirements:

  • K&A Engineering, Inc. has an opportunity for a skilled chainman with a minimum of 1 year experience in the following aspects of surveying, including but not limited to:
    • Assisting members of the Party Chief to carry out surveying work in the field;
    • Carrying out simple surveying work independently in the field;
    • Undertaking the preparation, care, maintenance and transportation of survey equipment, tools and materials for field survey operations;
    • Maintaining the order and cleanliness of survey stores;
    • Using minor survey equipment/tools for execution of surveying tasks in field; and
    • Working on a variety of project sites including construction sites, densely vegetated areas and slopes and places with heavy traffic and/or in hilly or rugged areas.
